Hi, I’m Briar Fontaine, owner of Parky’s Pics Photography, and I’ve been photographing high school seniors in Humboldt County for over 10 years — and they are hands-down my favorite thing to photograph.
As a high school teacher, I truly understand what it’s like to walk those halls every day and just how meaningful graduation is. As a mom of two teenagers, I also know this season goes fast — time really is a thief. Senior photos aren’t just pictures; they’re a way to pause this moment and celebrate who your senior is right now.

Time for your image premiere where you get to see your photos! Your images will arrive in an only gallery link. You can share, download, and order all from the gallery!
Product Delivery
Your images have arrived! If you ordered prints or albums, this is the best part! Your portrait art is thoroughly inspected to make sure it is perfect! It’s then packaged up and ready for you to enjoy!

When do you schedule your senior sessions?
Senior Sessions can be scheduled on any day of the week depending on the collection type you order. Sunset sessions are scheduled 1.5 to 2 hours before sunset. Remember, your session will begin about one to two hours before the sun sets, so depending on the changes of daylight savings time, your session may begin at 3:00 pm during late fall and winter, and 5:30 in the spring and early fall, and 7:00 in the summer. Not all sessions are sunset sessions, because I use off camera flash, I can shoot any time of day!
How can I book my session with you?
The best thing you can do is BOOK YOUR SESSION EARLY! I book my sessions out a few to several months in advance and have to turn seniors away every year because I am completely sold out by the Spring of your graduating year! When you decide to book your session with me, you sign a contract and pay a $150 retainer and your date will be saved! I often offer discounted sessions for shoots booked during the summer time months, as I am also a full time teacher.. Ask me about this discount!
How do I know how to prepare?
I know you haven't done this before, so I have all the bases covered. Upon booking, you will receive a questionnaire to get to know you better and learn what you want from your session. Next up is a "What to Wear Guide" to help you in planning your outfits. Finally, I will give you access to the client hub, as well as links to some very helpful blogs.
I have a special location in mind. Can we use it?
Most Likely! It all depends on our other plans for your session, and the length of your session, and time of year. . Mention it in your questionnaire, and I will my best to make it happen!
What type of payments do you accept?
I accept most major credit and debit cards, checks, Venmo, and cash. A $150 session retainer is due immediately upon booking your scheduled session. This ensures that your date is yours only and not open for any other clients. The rest of your payment is due on the day of your session.
What about photos with my pet or things from my fave pastime?
Yes, yes, and yes. This is your session! If those things are important to you, we will include them in your session. Please be sure to mention them prior to your session so we can plan accordingly.
