Intimate-Redwoods-Wedding

Their first date was at a wood fired pizza place in downtown Sonora. After dinner, they went to a whiskey bar for drinks and live music. Not wanting the night to end, they walked to another bar to play pool. Their first date led to their proposal in the snowy mountains of  Calaveras Big Trees State Park on New Years day, which led  to their beautiful intimate wedding ceremony in the Humboldt Redwoods surrounded by a small group of friends. Matt and Kim wanted a small intimate wedding with a slower pace. We started out at the Eagle House for some getting ready photos. We then traveled to the redwoods for a first look and some couples portraits and family photos. During the ceremony, there were quite a few tears shed including Miss Ayla who was so happy that their family was now becoming official. I couldn’t look at her without tearing up myself. Even while editing these photos, it made me want to cry. After their ceremony, we traveled back to Eureka to the Eagle House where they enjoyed an intimate reception with drinks and dancing.
