However, finding ways to make that happen can be hard. The following are ideas and tips that can make your elopement wonderful and meaningful.
Make it a Full Day
If only your elopement could never end. Well, as much as we wish your elopement could last forever it can’t. At some point, you need to go back to your everyday life. Despite that, you can have your elopement last the whole day. From the moment you wake up,to breakfast together, to a first look, to exploring the redwoods or beach, to a toast or picnic during the final sunset. I tis up to you how long your elopement should be. Make every second count. This is your day and you will hopefully only do it once! More and more couples are opting for full day elopements. It will also give you so much more to look back on.
First Look
Even though first looks are more of a traditional wedding thing, they can add a special element to your day. They increase the emotional energy of the day. They also makes for some amazing photos. Some couples doing first looks at their elopements may show up at the destination together and then get ready separately. Other couples may just add finishing touches separately when they get there for the element of surprise for the first look.
Get Married at that EPIC Location
We all have all dreamed of a perfect wedding spot since childhood. Maybe that has changed now that you are an adult, and instead of paying thousands to a venue, you can now choose the perfect location to get married. Whether it’s up high in the mountains, or at a rugged nor cal beach at sunrise, or in the majestic redwoods, underneath the canopy of trees. This is your chance to dream! Can’t decide. I offer full day adventure elopements in which we can travel to the redwoods, rivers, mountains and ocean!
Spend Money on What Matters to You
We all get a little more frugal when it comes to money. Which is understandable. However, when it comes to you getting married splurging a little is nothing to feel guilty about. Buy that dress, necklace, or veil! Splurge for that photo ivestment. In the long run, it will make you feel amazing during your elopement.
Bring Your Friends and Family, or Have Them Send Something
Nothing can make you happier than being surrounded by the people you love. So why not have your people be there during one of the greatest days of your life. Now I’m not saying you need to invite everyone in your life to come, or that you need to invite anyone at all. However, it may be nice to have the people your closest too, to be there. If you don’t want anyone but you and your partner at your elopement, you can have your friends and family write letters or send special messages to you and your partner on/before your day.
Do/Bring Something That Means Something to You
Maybe you have an object that’s significant to you and your finances relationship, or maybe even an activity. Showing off items to your partner that you kept as memories can bring back amazing feelings you have felt together. If you don’t have any special objects, you may have an activity that means something to you guys. Such as a sport or hobby. Do you love tacos? Eat your dinner at a Taco Truck? Don’t drink but want to have a champagne toast? Cheers with some sprite in a fancy glass. You do you! We can incorporate any activity into your day.
