Mike and Larissa’s Intimate Elopement in the Redwoods

Mike and Larissa’s goal for their wedding day was to enjoy their time together with their parents and celebrate their commitment while being their authentic selves. They opted for a 4 hour elopement and then to celebrate with friends and family back home while utilizing some of the photos we took during their elopement. In essence, the best of both worlds. They are always looking to experience new things together and being able to share a new place with such a momentous memory being made in the Redwoods. They wanted a ceremony focused on the dress, the beautiful redwoods, and laughter. They also wanted to add some fun trinkets since Larissa grew up thrifting. Larissa’s mom was an event planner, and they had some fun things up their sleeve.  I asked them to choose three words to describe their wedding and they said, simple, laid-back, and fun. I think we accomplished that! We started the day at their Air B and B with a first look on the balcony. The view was amazing! We then ventured to the redwoods where they exchanged vows underneath the canopy of majestic redwood trees, and a path carved out through the abundant redwood sorrel. We explored the redwoods and captured more photos, and then ventured back to their Air B and B, where they toasted their wedding, and had some cake. We took some fun pictures, and then they went and enjoyed dinner with their parents.  Who says elopements have to just be a ceremony in the redwoods?
