Eureka high senior softball portraits

Softball season is in full swing, and it is bringing back memories of Alyssas senior Sportrait session last year. Alyssa, her mom and myself met at the Eureka High softball field and had fun creating some memories together. We got a great combination of some more natural poses as well as some more dramatic off […]

Alyssa’s Eureka High Softball Sportrait Session

Anthony and Jillian married on a cool overcast day at Baywood Golf Course. Friends and family traveled from all over as far away a Louisiana. A great time was had by all. There were funny faces, plenty of tears, and some pretty amazing dance moves out on the dance floor. Vendor team Groomsmen Tuxedos- Men’s […]

Thomas and Jessika’s  gorgeous Rosina Vineyards wedding was full of charming DIY details and stunning vineyard views. Using beautiful light rose and pastel tones, the couple created a romantic ceremony, and were married under a beautiful arch adorned with flowers by Flora Organica designs. Following the heartfelt ceremony,  the couple had a relaxing outdoor reception […]

Thomas & Jessika’s Romantic Rosina Vineyards Wedding

Mai and Chris got married on a wet day on July 1st.  We began the day at the Bear River Casino where Chris, his two sons, the groomsmen and best woman were getting ready. Then it was off to the brides house to get some getting ready photos. It was great to see the family […]

First Look|What is it|Should we do it?|Is it right for us?|

Rob and Nikki got married on a cold, drizzly day in February. They decided at the lat minute that they wanted to do a first look so we all piled into Nikki’s car with Rob in a blindfold in the back and drove to the Elk River Road Covered Bridge. There’s nothing like building anticipation […]

As I sit here typing at 4:22 am on a Sunday morning, compelled to get out of bed and put my thoughts on paper or in this case  screen, I am filled with grace and gratitude. What a month it has been! In this time, I have worked my hardest to prepare 27 kids for […]

Surrendering

I shot Larissas family photos a couple of years ago, so I was super excited about getting the opportunity to shoot her engagement session. She and Nick wanted their photos taken on Paradise Ridge in the beautiful Southern Humboldt with gorgeous mountain and Shelter Cove ocean views. We had set the shoot up a couple […]

Humboldt County Engagement Session/Nick and Larissa/Shelter Cove/

Becca is a girl after my own heart. She is shy and sweet, a tomboy athlete. Just like I was in high school. Who am I kidding? I still am. We both attended Rio Dell Elementary School and Fortuna Union HIgh. Becca and her mother and sister journeyed down to Southern Humboldt to take her […]

Humboldt County Senior Portraits Session/Fortuna High/Basketball

Mai and Chris wanted to have their engagement session take place in the beautiful Redwoods of Humboldt County. We met at the Chimney Tree along the Avenue of the Giants, near Miranda and stopped at a couple of different spots to take some romantic images. This shoot was in February, so it was a very COLD, /WET day in the dark Redwoods, but you wouldnt know it by these photographs. Mai hid it very well! We ended the session in a cozy little  warm spot to get a few brighter images to add variety to their engagement portfolio. Variety is the spice of life right? They were complete naturals in front of the camera. As you can tell, they are so in love and I am so excited to shoot their Ferndale wedding this summer.
