I vividly remember the moment. I was standing in my co-workers classroom. I was talking about how I wanted to expand the elopement part of my business. I told her about adventure elopements and that I wanted to book more. She looked at my like I was crazy thinking people would want to sign up for an adventure elopement. I have booked quite a few since then. When Cody and Hannah inquired about my elopement services, they asked me what my adventure elopement entailed. We spoke on the phone about I spoke on the phone about how their day would look. We planned out the locations they wanted near Trinidad. They wanted a more laid back day that was just about the two of them and wanted to be intentional about their time together.
We met at the Trinidad Bay Bed and Breakfast and Hotel where we captured a first look overlooking the Trinidad marina.
Cody and Hannah then exchanged their vows in between beautiful ferns under the canopy of the redwood forest and then we spent some time taking pictures and hiking back to the car. We met at Trinidad State Beach for a charcuterie picnic and then followed it up with some pictures on the beach. The fog had rolled in so it was nice and cool but not too cold. Afterwards we went back to their B&B and cut the cake. You don’t have to get rid of typical traditions just because you choose to elope. You get to choose how your day goes. We chose to finish it up with a toast over the marina just as a day had started.
