Winter
Winter is a very beautiful and mostly cold season depending on where you are. It’s a great time for a cozy like elopement. You and your significant other could go up to a cabin somewhere, and have a relaxing time. Light some candles, get under the blankets, and sit by the fire. Although if you are the type to do something active, a great activity for the cold weather is skiing and/or snowboarding. Just keep in mind that] many people travel during the holidays in winter. So if you want to go somewhere by air travel, you may want to go before or after the holidays.
Spring
This magnificent season is all about new beginnings. Sounds perfect for an elopement. Just watch out for the rain. Weather is very unpredictable, but spring is usually more rainy during the start of the season. So if you don’t want rain, check the weather extra carefully. However, rain can be very romantic (watch the notebook). It can make your elopement extra magical with umbrellas and back lit flash. Also during spring comes flowers. Flowers represent new beginnings and are a nice touch to elopement decorations.
Summer
With Summer comes sun, and with sun comes fun. If you’re the adventurous type of person you may want to consider a summer elopement. You can go to the beach, go hiking, kayaking, or any other outdoor activity. (Have that bug and sun protection on stand by though!) Fun and excitement is a great way to kick off you and your partner’s journey in life together. Kids aren’t the only ones anxious for the summer!
Fall
During this season there are so many gorgeous colors! Red, orange, green, and yellow leaves would look great during an elopement photo shoot. The temperature also starts to cool down in the fall. There are also less tourists out and about, so you will have less obstacles if you are choosing to get married at a National Park such as Humboldt Redwoods.
Here in Humboldt County, elopements can be beautiful year round….the redwood forests provide a beautiful canopy and the coastal oceans glow with beautiful sunsets.
