Hi-I'm Briar, an elopement and senior photographer based in Northern California, where the towering redwoods meet the quiet hum of magic. For over 10 years, I've photographed more than 200 weddings and elopements, but my heart always comes alive in the forest-where sunlight filters through the ancient trees and love stories feel timeless. I live just 10 minutes away from the Humboldt Redwoods and the Avenue of the Giants, with a redwood right in my own backyard. This isn't just where I work-it's part of who I am. I love photographing elopements because I get to explore these incredible forests with couples who are seeing them for the very first time-watching them gasp in awe at the size, stillness, and sacred presence of the trees. There's something beautiful about standing among giants, breathing in the rich, oxygen-filled air, and witnessing two people who intentionally chose to make their love the focus of the day, instead of a big party. It's raw, real, and deeply moving- and I feel honored every single time I get to document that kind of connection.

Hey, I'm Briar- your Redwood Elopement & Senior Photographer.
Based in the heart of Humboldt County, the Avenue of the Giants is practically in my backyard. I photograph intimate weddings, elopements, engagements, and seniors-but what I really capture are moments of aliveness.
I am a single mama of two amazing teenagers and a high school PE and English teacher, but my heart feels at home when I am out in nature-chasing golden light, barefoot in the forest, camera in hand, surrounded by love and laughter.
I believe life should be lived the way children live-fully immersed in the moment-curious, playful and wide-eyed with wonder. That is the energy I bring to the session. My photography style is soft, vibrant, and a little bit magical.- filled with real, raw, candid emotion that pulls you right back to how you felt in that instant.
Whether you are saying your vows beneath towering redwoods, or running barefoot along the Northern California coast, I'll be there capturing the story as it unfolds-honest, wild, and full of heart.
